Universitas Bangka Belitung - UBB or the University of Bangka Belitung is a reputable state university located in Pangkal Pinang The Province of Bangka Belitung. The University was established in 2006 as a merger results of 3 leading higher educational institutions, namely Timah Polytechnic for Manufacturing, Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Pahlawan 12 Academy of Engineering. The University supported by 15 study programs in 4 Faculties, namely Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, Fisheries, Biology, Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, and Faculty of Economics. The University also operated 1 Polytechnic To supports its academic activities, UBB supported by 153 lecturers. As of 2008, Universitas Bangka Belitung has 1,612 students and 800 alumni.
